Words More In The Air - a very intimate, sensual & haunting album by Annette Gratze. Officially released already in 2000 for the first time, it's still as timeless, emotional & intense today, fifteen years later.
Annette's fragile voice, somewhere between sad, conjuring & eerie, creeps directly under your skin.
Originally working as a painter (she painted the Albumcover), she depicts, portays and paints with her voice im- and expressive scapes of love, loss, trust and forgiveness.
The Sound: somewhere between downtempo electronica and bedroom jazz - divinely guitar melodies, sometimes bitcrushed, reversed, distorted over dragging & sloppy breaks, ghostly atmospheres, dark skies, rippled glass - a noisy bed for Annette's outstanding vocals.
